  • Where are Inspiring the Child courses offered?
IYC's programs are held at multiple locations. The addresses of our main locations can be found on our contact page. We will put which location we are going to be at in the introduction to each group of events. During the school year most of our classes are offered at the Groton Grange in Groton MA. In the summer we are usually at the Luina Greine Farm and Farm School also found in Groton MA. At times we offer other classes at various locations in Groton or in the towns near by. We are working towards having a space of our own sometime in the future. (Our "bussiness address" is a mailing address only and can also be found on the contacts page if you need to mail us something. We will not be holding any events at that location.)
  • What ages are the classes and workshops for?
We currently have events for K-6. Please check the event description to find out the age range on the event. Other ages may become available.
  • Are Classes appropriate for Children with Special Needs?
Classes are meant to inspire children to learn and create. If students are able to independently attend small group classes with minimum support they should be able to attend the classes. Questions and concerns should be brought to our attention via email or phone. We would also be happy to set up a session to meet your child so that we can better get to know them and learn about their needs through interacting with them.
  • Am I expected to participate in class or stay with my child?
Ages 3-4: A parent or guardian must stay with their child during the event due to our current set up and location. We can also set up a time to have a lesson at your home where they are comfortable. Grades K-6 may attend on their own. We know that some friends need a few minutes to feel comfortable at the beginning of class, please feel free to stay a few minutes to help them settle. We may also sometimes hold events for children and parents to create together.
  • Are there drop in options available?
At this time please give us 24 hour notice by phone, contact page, or email. If we have space open we would be happy to have you. Due to the property's regulations for COVID-19, supply shortages, and staffing we are limited to a certian number of people at a time or may not be able to get more supplies quickly enough depending on the project.
  • Where Do I find Out About other Courses Offered by Inspiring Your Child?
The 'IYC Programs' button in our menu will take you to our current and future offerings. You will find the specific information on each program's separate page. The Sign Up Here page is where you can make your selections to purchase. Note: We offer make your own classes, courses, an events. The more people you get involved, the less it will cost per person.
