Shop at the Luina Greine Farm, meet the animals and drop your child with, Miss Julia from Inspiring Your Child, to learn how to sew at the Groton Farm School/Luina Greine Farm. Children will learn the basics of sewing as needed including tying off knots, threading needles, and basic stitches including blanket stitch, whip stitch, running stitch, and french knot. Participants will make at least one or more items including but not limited to a skirt or dress for their doll, their own whale shark or pumpkin stuffie, and or alpaca felt purse. While hanging out with friends creating, designing, and sewing we will listen to a chapter book. The first book will be The Tale of Desperaux by Kate DiCamillo. Dates: 10/9, 10/6, 10/23, 10/30.
Please contact us 24 hours in advance to reschedule, cancel, or sign up for a session. We do not guarantee a full refund after that 24 hour point due to the purchase of materials. Some sessions, such as summer camp, will have additional rules due to the amount of supplies being purchased ahead of time. These sessions will have more information about their special cancellation rules in the information section for the event. Last minute sign ups are at the discretion of the session's leader due to materials and participant limits. If IYC cancels a session there will be a full refund to each participant.
